Manchester United XI vs Wigan

Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for FA Cup game Erik ten Hag has confirmed goalkeeper Andre Onana will feature for Manchester United in their FA Cup third-round tie against Wigan. The Cameroon international has been called up for his country’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign later this month but ten Hag expects him to be available for selection before he sets off. “We're talking with [the] Cameroon Federation," said the Dutchman. "It was an issue during the talks with Andre when he came in here, and it's constructive, so we will see." The Manchester United manager also confirmed he “more or less" expects to have the same squad available to the one who lost to Nottingham Forest last weekend. While Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez have both been spotted in training, the trip to League One Wigan will surely come too early for the pair. Ten Hag also does not expect to have the likes of Harry Maguire, Mason Mount and Luke Shaw back until late

wildcard Santiago Gimenez & the nine strikers goal-shy Chelsea could splash even more cash on in the January transfer window

The Blues are still in dire need of a prolific goal-scorer up front, and it would be no surprise to see them spend big to land one in the new year

It's one of the worst-kept secrets in football that Chelsea will pursue a new, hopefully prolific striker at the earliest possibly opportunity, having somehow allowed the summer transfer window to pass them by without signing the elite frontman that they so desperately need. January, though, is just around the corner - bringing with it a chance to renew, restart and right some wrongs.

The new-year transfer window is usually met with tight-fistedness and a reluctance to disturb the balance of a squad mid-season, but in 2023 Chelsea raged against those conventions as they splurged more than £320 million ($405m) on seven permanent new signings, while Joao Felix signed on loan.

Don't be surprised, then, if the Blues' owners peel open their bottomless wallets once again this time around. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino is believed to want as many as three reinforcements, with a striker chief among them, but who could they realistically sign in the January transfer window?

Victor Osimhen (Napoli)
The notion of spending a record fee in the January transfer window would normally seem farfetched, but Chelsea's unprecedented spend in the winter of 2023 dictates that we should expect the unexpected.

Osimhen is seemingly the man at the top of the Blues' shortlist whether they land him immediately or in the summer, and they are supposedly willing to break the bank again to do so.

Their case may well be helped by the deterioration of the Nigerian's relationship with Napoli amid a contract standoff, but they should heed caution; this is not the same prolific frontman who fired his side to the Scudetto in 2022-23, although injuries, off-field issues, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's drop-off in form and managerial mismatches have not helped.

CRISTIANO RONALDO'S NEW £28 million Lisbon mansion currently "LOOKS LIKE A HOSPITAL." Due to the delays, the project now exceeds its initial budget of £10 million, and its final cost is anticipated to be close to £28 million. Naturally, that figure is unlikely to cause too much concern when one considers the amount of money Ronaldo is earning in the Saudi Pro League. Of greater worry to Ronaldo and his accomplice, Georgina Rodriguez, will be the way that development of the manor has left their new neighbors raging. Why Cristiano Ronaldo's neighbors are furious about his ne

FNW - Lionel Messi in Inter Miami

Erling Haaland 'My super strength is scoring objectives'

in the wake of mesh multiple times versus RB Leipzig:  FNW — Erling Haaland has said his super strength is "scoring objectives" after the Manchester City striker found the net multiple times during his side's 7-0 win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday (Walk 14).
